Outdoor clothing and gear company The North Face is doubling down on a perverse ad campaign that features an adult male “drag queen” trying to lure children to “come out!” as part of a so-called “Summer of Pride” celebration and debauchery campaign.
Despite the fact that many of its customers were quick to boycott the brand, telling it “you just lost a customer,” in so many words, via hundreds upon hundreds of social media posts, The North Face has decided to stick with its “Pattie Gonia” character, named after the company’s Patagonia competitor.
“We’re partnering with Pattie because we believe the outdoors are for everyone,” the company said in a statement of continued support for the controversial ad campaign.
“Nature lets you be who you are, so, for the second year in a row, The North Face is hosting Summer of Pride together with (they/she) to celebrate you and all the beautiful ways you get outside.”

Last year, The North Face ran a similar ad in the same vein featuring and adult male drag queen parading around the woods and mountaintops in an open tent-themed dress, below which another man was seen lying down.
“Nature lets you be who you are … even gay!” last year’s drag character yelled while atop a ridge.
“Put on your boots and come out … side with us! See you there, besties!”
All the innuendos and plays on words in both commercials convey a message of trying to lure children to come out and join the perverted adults who want to groom them into the LGBT lifestyle – in The North Face’s case, by doing so outside in nature.
The North Face’s 2023 “Outside Together” collection features “rainbow”-colored t-shirts and hoodies both for adults and teenagers. There are also “rainbow”-themed blankets and camping gear, all grossly overpriced, for sale as part of The North Face’s latest pride campaign.
“We recognize the opportunity our brand has to shape the future of the outdoors and we want that future to be a more accepting and loving place,” the company wrote in an Instagram post defending its decision to groom via these yucky commercials.
Ever since the Pattie Gonia ad aired, The North Face’s stock price has fallen by around seven percent. Target, meanwhile, which unveiled a line of openly satanic LGBT clothing for babies, saw its stock price decline by 11 percent.
In Target’s case, the company did pull some of the more offensive “Pride Collection” clothing from its stores, though there is still plenty of LGBT-themed items available for children as young as babies, seeing as how there are “rainbow”-emblazoned onesies now being sold at Target.
Target tried to blame its upset customers for making “threats” against team members over the offensive clothing, which prompted the corporation to remove it from store shelves.
“Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior,” the Minneapolis-based retailer said in a statement.
Responding to Target’s decision to remove the satanic pride clothing for babies, California Gov. Gavin Newsom threw a hissy fit on Twitter, accusing CEO Brian Cornell of “selling out the LGBTQ+ community to extremists.”
“There is a systematic attack on the gay community happening across the country. Wake up America,” Newsom wrote. “This doesn’t stop here.”
“You’re black? You’re Asian? You’re Jewish? You’re a woman? You’re next,” he further threatened.
